Habari Ako! Unfortunately our email has been down for the last four days here in Tharaka, however we’ve been extremely busy and fruitful.
Saturday we hosted our annual 5K run with 201 runners! We served homemade Plumpy Nut, popcorn and Gatorade after the race. Immediately following we hosted a ladies meeting and spa day for 360 ladies who received hand massages, a manicure, and the love of Jesus!
We’ve been working hard in the school hosting a daily football (soccer) camp. The kids are healthy and happy. Yesterday after church we fed the local Kaguni group (a group of men, women and children who are HIV positive). Due to the drought in Tharaka, we increased how much food we are giving them. Quite a celebration took place after the news was announced! We gave the group new EOFO backpacks to carry their maize and beans.
We are forever grateful for the opportunity to serve here in Tharaka. Thank you, Asante Sana, for your support.
