You’ve never experienced a true “tough mudder” until you’ve ran in Tharaka after a good rain. On my recent trip to Kenya, I ran to the waterfall with three of our girls after receiving some desperately needed rainfall (prayers answered!). Sarah, who is HIV positive, ran the entire 3 miles with me in flip flops. She is my hero!
Another Tharakan workout – carrying a giant bag of maize and beans. These women are also my heroes! Not only are they walking 10 plus kilometers most of them are HIV positive.
Life here can be hard but the grace of God is also here!
Your gift of any amount this month will help pay for maize and beans for these women!
Last on my list of heroes are all those who ran for Kenya’s Kids in our first annual Run for EOFO. Seven runners ran a 5K and five ran a half-marathon to raise money and awareness for EOFO. If you’d like to host a 5K or run for EOFO in a marathon, email us and we will provide you with the tools you need to get started.
Thank you in advance for your generosity,
Victoria
