Something wonderful happened this month! Victoria was honored to receive the “Soroptimist Ruby Award: For Women Helping Women“.
Soroptimist International gives this prestigious award to women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, have a significant impact on their lives, and inspire and encourage other women.
Victoria was honored for her tireless work and defense of girls both in Kenya and America. I wish everyone could hear her speak so you could see the passion she has.
Victoria loves going through the teachings of Freedom in Christ with some of the women in Tharaka.
“It’s difficult to put into words how these courageous Tharakan women live. I’ve watched them carry heavy loads of 30 kg’s of maize and beans on their back and walk 15 kilometers in the hot sun to take care of their families. They work tirelessly morning to night digging in the hard dirt often with no husband to help them. It is such an honor to be given an award for helping such beautiful women.” – Victoria McCarter
I am so happy that she has been recognized in this way. The award was so well deserved.
Why not sponsor one of our girls in Tharaka today in Victoria’s honor? Sponsor HERE.
Serving together with you,
Senator Kyle McCarter
