Lilian’s parents passed away after battling AIDS. Her grandmother told the medics that they came just at the right time because the children had started becoming sickly and she didn’t have money for transportation to the clinic. Lilian and her brother, Martin’s health improved once they received the medication they needed. However, they frequently went without their medicine due to the extremely long and dangerous walk to reach the clinic. Lilian’s favorite subject is math. When she is sick, which she often is, she likes to be cuddled.
