Mercy lived with her four siblings and grandmother in a simple mud hut. They had no latrine or cooking hut. At night, she slept with her grandmother and two sisters in a single bed. Her mother died of AIDS and she doesn’t know where her father is or if he is alive. Her favorite subject is Kiswahili and she enjoys playing volleyball, singing, and playing with others. She would like to be a teacher when she grows up. Mercy enjoys reading the bible and her favorite scripture is Psalm 119:25.
